Combat for Women's Equality

Kaelyn Chmiel & Sophia Schultz

Thesis

Women have been through a lot in the past years to battle for their equality. Working through protests and campaigns allowed equal rights  between both men and women during the 1900's. Women believed they deserve the same freedom all men in the US have to vote, but no one was willing enough to cooperate to do so. Many women such as Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Staton helped make this possible. Many movements and conventions later, women got official rights and the right to vote just like men.

Barrier

The barrier women are trying to break is being equal to men and having the right to vote because all humans are made equal. How this was broken was on August 18, 1920 the 19th Amendment was officially a part of the US Constitution, which then allowed women to vote.
